Midlands Military and Community Choir

My name is Laura Joy Godwin and I am the Choir Director of The Midlands Military and Community Choir based in Birmingham.
A little info about us -
The Midlands Military And Community Choir was the brainchild of the Royal British Legion and The Birmingham Bach Choir and was created to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
Over the last 24 months the choir has recruited singers both with Forces connections (Serving, Cadets, Veterans, Reservists etc) and those from the civilian community.
The idea of this Military and Community Choir is to bring people together to have fun, make friends and create great music both at rehearsals and through concerts at various venues.
From concerts at The Symphony Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, The Old Rep, Northfield Baptist Church and a Flash Mob in Birmingham City Centre to a wonderful evening singing alongside care home residents we enjoy our music and want to share it.
We rehearse on the 1st, 3rd and 5th (if there is one!) Thursday's of each month at Northfield Baptist Church, 7.15 - 8.45pm, £5 for the session. There is no audition and music will be provided.
Our facebook site is
If there is anything you could do to help us advertise our choir we would really appreciate it!
Kind regards,
Laura Joy Godwin
